Signapse is an exciting hyper-growth startup bringing together Artificial Intelligence and Sign Language to improve accessibility for millions of Deaf and hard-of-hearing people worldwide.

Our technology is built on world-leading computer vision research developed at the University of Surrey, and our AI-powered SaaS platform is already being used by major global brands to deliver life-enhancing experiences for sign language users.

As we continue to scale, we are looking for a talented Sales Account Executive to help drive commercial growth, build meaningful customer relationships, and expand adoption of our innovative technology across global markets.

Personal Requirements

New Revenue Growth: Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets through new customer acquisition.

Pipeline Management: Build, maintain, and accurately forecast a healthy sales pipeline.

Customer Engagement: Develop strong relationships with prospects and customers, understanding their challenges and positioning Signapse as the right solution.

Sales Performance: Track key sales metrics including conversion rates, deal velocity, opportunity progression, and customer engagement.

Example Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify, research, and engage prospective customers across relevant industries and markets
  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities including email, calls, networking, and social selling
  • Qualify inbound leads and convert opportunities into sales conversations
  • Develop account plans and strategies for target organisations

Sales Process Management

  • Own the full sales cycle from initial discovery through negotiation and contract close
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand customer requirements, challenges, and business objectives
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations showcasing Signapse’s SaaS platform and Live integration capability
  • Prepare proposals, manage commercial discussions, and support contract negotiations
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities and activities within CRM systems

Customer Relationships

  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including accessibility leaders, innovation teams, technology teams, and senior decision-makers
  • Understand customer needs and communicate how Signapse can deliver measurable value
  • Support account growth opportunities through renewals, expansions, and introductions

Other

  • Act as a brand ambassador for Signapse and our mission to make technology more accessible
  • Represent Signapse at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
  • Continue developing knowledge of AI, accessibility technology, and the Deaf community

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have some of the following:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within SaaS, technology, AI, or software environments
  • Experience managing a full sales cycle and closing new business opportunities
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand customer challenges and position solutions effectively
  • Commercially minded with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Comfortable using CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities
  • Curious and proactive, with a passion for understanding customer needs and solving complex problems
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies, markets, and sales approaches

Bonus

  • Experience selling SaaS solutions into enterprise organisations
  • Experience working within accessibility, AI, or emerging technology markets
  • Knowledge of working in or with startups
  • Existing network within accessibility, technology, transport, media, public sector, or enterprise markets
  • Is a BSL user or has an understanding of the Deaf community

Hours

This is a full-time position of 5 days a week, with normal virtual office hours of 9am to 6pm, although flexibility is offered to suit reasonable personal circumstances. What matters most to us is a strong work ethic, teamwork and delivery of high-quality output.
